Common concerns about joining the Idea Time Academy - The Big Bang Partnership

Common concerns about joining the Idea Time Academy

Joining an online membership is a big decision. You have so many options available and it’s often overwhelming with the excessive amount of information. You’d think that life would be more simple with quick information available at our fingertips within seconds through our trusted Google. When you look at it, it’s actually making us think less because let’s face it, we don’t need much brain power to conduct a Google search, do we?

So why does Idea Time stand out?

I have created Idea Time through 30 years’ experience in highly strategic roles at some huge brands, including a number of the UK’s largest transport companies, alongside studying 6 years part-time for my my PhD. I bring different techniques to the table, and different ways of working to get your brain to think in ways it’s not used to. I want to activate new parts of your brain and get those creative juices flowing to get you to achieve your big, hairy, audacious goals.

When looking at subscribing to a membership, the first few things that may pop into your mind are:

  • The cost, the time and effort you have to put in; and
  • Taking time away from thinking about your business.

Well, that is actually one of the aims – I want you to get away from the day-to-day tasks of your business that are taking all of your brain energy and start look at things differently, to think ‘outside of the box’.

“How do I decide whether to focus on myself or the business when there is so much to do?”

The answer is this – you need to look at this as working on yourself and the business. The way that you need to do this is by taking your mind away from the day-to-day tasks of the business and start looking at the bigger picture. You have so many ideas that you don’t know where to start and let me point this out to you – the reason you may not know where to start is due to mindset. Focusing on your change of mindset will start making you see the results.

A positive mindset and self-confidence are really important in business. With a positive mind you can achieve so much and really drive your business forward and succeed. On the flip side, a negative mindset can take over and give you fear of failure (and even fear or success!) and this can take your energy and focus away, rather than feeding the energy and focus into succeeding… bonkers isn’t it! Read my blog here where I talk about increasing self-confidence.

My clients have spoken about how they have become re-energised and fallen back in love with their business concepts since completing the Idea Time programme. You can see various testimonials from my clients here.

“Money issues – it seems expensive”

My Idea Time membership costs as little as £32 per month (subject to VAT) when you purchase an annual subscription. It’s £42 per month (subject to VAT) otherwise. The cost of the membership is less than the price of a flat white a day.

The ROI from a flat white, I can guarantee you, is lower than the ROI from working on yourself and your business with Idea Time. With Idea Time, you get access to:

  • Quarterly one-on-one sessions with me
  • Access to my email and personal phone number should you have any questions at any point
  • Online courses and programmes
  • Live webinars
  • Masterclasses
  • Events
  • Blogs and vlogs
  • Online resources and toolkits
  • Online community forum.

And the list goes on… For £1.05 per day I’d say that’s great value for money

“I’ve not heard of Jo North or Idea Time before, how do I know what it will be like? How do I know it will be worth the money?”

I have worked in highly strategic roles for over 30 years and completed a PhD so I have a lot of proven knowledge and experience. It is this knowledge and experience combined with my desire to help businesses to succeeded and grow that encouraged me to take the leap and start my own business, Idea Time. And I can honestly tell you, I have never looked back. I have written a blog post that explains why I created my Idea Time membership and just a few things you can expect to find inside.

I have also created a blog post which has a few testimonials from my clients and can give you a bit of an insight into what you can expect from your Idea Time membership

My clients have had excellent results through completing the Idea Time programme, such as tripling their gross turnover and achieving those big, hairy, audacious goals!

“It won’t work for me”

You’re here, reading this blog because you are an entrepreneur. You are here because you are running a business and are passionate about seeing the business grow and achieving results.

I can’t do the work for you. Like with anything, the more time you put in, the more you will get out of my Idea Time membership. However, what I can guarantee is, that you won’t be disappointed.

“I’d rather speak to people who are doing what I’m doing to get direct advice”

We’ve created the Idea Time community forum where you can speak and engage with the other Idea Time members. You can speak about your problems, as well as giving back to the Idea Time Community by sharing your ideas, what you’ve tried and tested, and best ways of working, and learning the same from other forum members. With this information you will have more of an informed decision of whether to go forward with ideas or plans you may have, or you may wish to bring these concerns to me in private and we can discuss.

The idea is that to be ahead in your industry, to give your business a competitive edge, you need to look across at other sectors and look at their innovations and see how you can apply these to your business. Innovative technological advances are at the forefront of what is changing consumer experience today, such as Uber – a taxi service designed by an I.T. company. Then you have effective collaborations, such as Deliveroo, and Uber eats to expand your offering to meet the ever-changing consumer demand and expectations.

We are all continuously learning and evolving. It is harder than ever to run a successful business in this day and age, due to the ever-changing world around us and most importantly, the changing demands of the consumer.

Years ago, businesses used to rule the roost. The customer used to enter a shop and be told what the business wanted to tell them about a product, and the customer made a purchase. Now, the customer has all the power and almost infinite choice. As an advocate of giving clients the very best experience possible, I think that’s how it should be.

The challenge for us, though, is that customers have control of the process all the way from browsing on the internet (paid ads, cookie tracking etc.), to posting feedback online, with trustpilot.com being an example of this. Customers want and deserve personalisation at every step of their journey and as businesses we need to find ways to achieve that successfully.

Building these communities where we can share ideas and concerns can take us ahead on innovation and really make our businesses stand out from the crowd.
